Quality of life services - right or privilege? |
In this edition: efficiencies, localism and our new ‘rights’... to build, provide and buy. Was the Channel 4 Dispatches documentary right to imply that 'Big Society' will benefit big business, while the public sector feels the pinch of austerity Britain.
What do you think? If we can help you to evaluate what you are going to do, why, how and for whom - get in touch.
Lots of juicy issues for local authorities and swimming per se were batted around at the 'no holds barred' Leisure Review Swimming Summit I chaired in late February. Good stuff - the full report is available here.
We also report on strategies, reviews and evaluations for local authority, university, PCT and CSP clients and pause to mention KKP staff giving something back and applying their expertise in a voluntary capacity.
Anyway, in tough times, as Maria Robinson says: "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."'
